    I have used the pack for the over two years on a daily basis with only a little fraying from too much weight. It holds all sorts of chargers, computer and some documents. It fits neatly under airline seats and works great for day trips. Good pack for the money.

    The backpack is fantastic, very nice product, much more beautiful than the pictures in the internet. It is not so big, and not so small. It is an excellent backpack.

    This backpack works GREAT carrying my laptop, 300GB Seagate external hard drive, mouse, plenty of cables and wires. And the padding for the laptop is the BEST. I have a 15.4″ laptop and it fits great. I extended the velcro strap so it would not hold my laptop so tight. I go on frequent business trips and it is great to know just how protected my laptop is with this thick padding. I shopped around on-line and at the local electronic and office supply stores before picking up this gem.

    The Port PR600 3.1 by Targus is an excellent everyday backpack for notebook-toting students and professionals who work in a casual environment. It sports a modern look crafted from impressively heavy-gauge ballistic nylon. It can hold a ton and contains numerous storage compartments, pouches and flaps (some removable, some fixed) to suit a variety of needs. All told, they make this bag more than versatile enough to become anyone’s sole solution during the daily commute and short-term travel.

    Most importantly, the notebook pouch is very secure and absorbs shocks from being dropped or bumped with no problems. You should note that the padding is only on the sides and bottom of the compartment and not the front or back. You wouldn’t want to load the PR600 flat (for instance into an overhead bin) and stack other bags on top of it. The Targus website lists all of the specific brands and models that it will accommodate.

    The only drawbacks to the PR600 stem from the fact that it is a backpack. First, when fully loaded, it is very deep – you will make enemies on crowded elevators. Second, the straps are not the most ergonomic on the market, i.e. difficult to adjust and tough to get into/out of. Face it – there’s no backpack in the world that will fit the bill when you are dressed up or need to make a smooth exit. Third, while the base is stiff rubber, it’s still not enough to prevent the whole thing from tipping over when not loaded in a balanced manner.

    Still, it’s not fair to fault a backpack for being a backpack and this one’s pros way outweigh its cons. If you need a more formal option, go with the Port shoulder bag or rolling travel bag.

    PROS

    * Good shock protection for your notebook

    * Endless configurations of storage

    * Durable construction & great looks

    * Comfortable straps

    CONS

    * Bulky when fully loaded

    * Not really functional with business attire

    * Prone to tipping when placed on the floor
